PLUMBING THE DEPTHS OF LOW ETHICS - MORALS AND STANDARDS IN POLITICAL OFFICE

IS DOMINIC RAAB A BULLY ?

OPINION – Shack News Editorials & Commentary.

A Flawless Union of Ineptitude and Self-Importance

Once again, we find ourselves witnessing the unsettling marriage of incompetence and authoritarian behavior flourishing within the highest echelons of power, both within the government of our nation and the Conservative party. The perplexing ascension of figures like Dominic Raab to positions as crucial as Justice Secretary and Deputy Prime Minister, not just in any country but in the UK, remains an enigma. It seems that this can only be explained by the dystopian reality that has enveloped us for the past five years.
Our legislators, who are meant to be stewards of our nation, appear woefully inadequate for the roles they occupy. Their presence can be attributed not to merit, but rather to their opportunistic exploitation of the tumultuous wave of Brexit-induced fervor. This opportunism has fostered an environment where nepotism, corruption, bigotry, and the systematic dismantling of our nation’s assets have become disturbingly commonplace.
Dominic Raab’s tenure as Trade and Industry Secretary serves as a glaring example of this ineptitude. His apparent ignorance regarding the significance of Calais and Dover as vital trade routes connecting us to the European continent is a testament to his unpreparedness for such a critical role. Moreover, his refusal to curtail a holiday during a moment of national crisis and a major international news event, while serving as Deputy Prime Minister, raises serious questions about his commitment to the well-being of the country he was entrusted to lead.
